On October 24th, the Centro de Artes e Espetáculos (CAE) in Figueira da Foz hosted a major charity night organized by Grupo Alves Bandeira, benefitting the Humanitarian Association of Figueira da Foz Volunteer Firefighters.

In front of a fully booked audience, the show "Insónia," starring the incomparable Fernando Mendes and offered by the 100% Portuguese group, managed to raise a total of €10,000. With ticket sales exceeding €8,000, the remaining amount was supplemented by an additional donation from the Group, which celebrates its 50th anniversary next year.

The total of €10,000 raised will be used to purchase a new emergency ambulance, improving the response capabilities of the Volunteer Firefighters for the entire Figueira da Foz community.

As the patron of this initiative, Grupo Alves Bandeira once again reaffirms its commitment to developing an active social responsibility policy, especially within the local communities where it operates.

Rui Bandeira, President of Grupo Alves Bandeira, emphasized the importance of such initiatives: "This event reflects the solidarity spirit that has always characterized our Group. It is a pride to contribute to such a noble cause and support the Volunteer Firefighters of Figueira da Foz, who play an essential role in protecting and securing our community. We thank everyone who participated and made a difference, and, of course, all the firefighters for their true dedication."

Lídio Lopes, President of the Board of the Humanitarian Association of Figueira da Foz Volunteer Firefighters, expressed his gratitude: "The support from Grupo Alves Bandeira was crucial in achieving this goal. This new ambulance will allow for an even more efficient service, better meeting the population's needs. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the generosity of everyone who contributed."
